Recipe Round-Up 2017

January 28, 2018

Those that love to be in the kitchen can relate: We all have our favorite recipes we continually come back to time and again.

It may be due to ease and speed of the concoction, the kickass flavor profile, or the positive response from friends and family. Whatever it is, we pull them out more often than others.

Here are my top 5 favorite recipes that I shared with you in 2017!

5. Lime Cauliflower Tacos [v]

These tacos are easily customize-able, but what I've got the biggest compliments on has been that avocado lime dressing. It goes well on so much more than just tacos!

4. Protein Spinach Dip [v/gf]

Spinach dip can be a big time-intensive as is, so if you're putting in the effort, this is a great recipe that you can't screw up while saving you and/or friends some calories and bad fat.

3. Peanut Butter Protein Cookies [v]

This was a fun recipe I created whole collaborating with North Coast Naturals, and may be the recipe I have made the MOST this year (consequently I may have eaten my weight in PB this year). This is for the fitness lovers that always want a PB snack on hand.

Find the recipe and link to the video I did here

2. Spicy Peanut Tofu [v/gf]

Tofu has a bad reputation among non-vegetarians and this recipe was an attempt to help combat that. Now I know meat-eaters that make this their meatless Monday grab because it's easy, flavorful, and protein-dense!

 1. Quickie Crockpot Chili [v/gf]

The hands-down winner of 2017 goes to this time-saving chili! I have been so amazed at the feedback with busy workers that just want to come home to a meal that's ready to go! It has been fun hearing from you all about the different things you added to make it your own!

It's been a fun 2017, playing in the kitchen, but I am so excited for the new culinary explorations we'll have together in 2018. Here's to another year of delicious, health and conscience-focused food!
